KES is seeking interns that are passionate about pursuing a career in public relations, marketing or social media. Must be interested in learning within a small business environment and can handle a variety of projects at once.

Ideal candidates are motivated self-starters with a minimum of (1) prior internship or position within the communications industry with a focus on PR, social media or marketing that are currently enrolled in college.

The internship includes 5-9 hours of remote work per week, but ideal candidates must be available to meet in-person at the KES Studio (located in downtown Kansas City) at least (1) day per week. Additional commitments may include evening events. This is an unpaid internship program with possible opportunities for growth within the company upon completion of the program.

 

The Internship:

Maintaining and updating Social Media Calendars including copywriting

Research, list building and influencer outreach for campaigns

Coordination support for KES client events

Blogging and online writing

 

Qualifications:

Current college student that is pursuing a major in Journalism, Public Relations or Business with a focus on PR/Marketing, Strategic Communications or Social Media Marketing

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in an organization, professional manner

Strong writing, social media content and communication skills

Firm understanding of strategic communications and events

Prior leadership and/or internship experiences
